Q: Is this title protection?

A: No, it's title monitoring. There's no way to prevent a title recording to prevent fraud etc. but we will monitor it 24/7 so the minute there's a change to the name or address of the title we'll contact you and get you in touch with the proper authorities to undo the change if it wasn't initiated by you.

Q: What'll happen if someone stole my title?

A: The theif will request a title transfer to change the name & address on the title to their information acting as a new buyer. From there they can take out a huge equity loan or do a quick home cash sale get the funds and dissapear. The county recorders office only record what they receive there's no requirement for them to verify the authenticity of the title transfer. Then at somepoint the bank who did the equity loan or the scammed new home buyer will show up to claim your house, which by rule whomever's name is on the title is the legal owner.
